The Ripple Effect of Generosity in Communities Near and Far

Hello Reader,

In light of the heaviness many of us are navigating in these times of unrest, I wanted to offer a look at how OTEPIC, (The Organic Technology Extension and Promotion of Initiative Centre), is enabling many in Kitale, Kenya to symbiotically heal their relationship with the land, through healing their relationships with each other.

This year, ERE was able to “uplift through gift”, OTEPIC, which has provided a reforestation workshop, and much more, that has impacted the community in a myriad of ways.

Some of the direct and immediate benefits from the reforestation workshop were:

  • It created an improved communal relationship amongst conflicting tribes who before, never wanted to work together.

  • Communities were able to build connections and friendships, grow a thriving urban forest, and help create greener, healthier communities.

  • Youth groups are now able to sell even more tree seedlings to various agencies which will provide income as well as bolster entrepreneurial skills.

Recently, ERE's Executive Director, Carlin, was able to meet with Philip Munyasia, founder of the organization, in Portugal where she received a huge “thank you” from the OTEPIC Community with the wish that it be brought back here to be shared amongst our Community.

With this gift OTEPIC was also able to hire 3 additional full-time staff to help run their community farm which provides food to families, elders and youth who would otherwise not have access to healthy produce. This is the magic of gift and relationship.

We believe in the power of gift and how generosity of spirit moves healing through communities. Returning money to the commons is one of ERE’s core values.

Your financial contribution to participate in our offerings are seeds being sown into the past, present, and future. Because after ERE’s costs are covered, all post- production funds are gifted to projects like OTEPIC, here on Turtle Island and globally.

Thank you for being a part of our commitment to healing the flow of money and for joining us in seeding healed futures.

A Course On the Imaginal: Cultivating the Visionary Self

with Alixa Garcia

The visionary inside each of us desires cultivation, attention, and permission so we may help bring forth visions already brimming behind the cracks of a breaking world. How do we fall without falling apart?

During our time together, we will work with our bodies through what Alixa García calls Creativity Infused Somatic Practices to help move trauma through the body by consciously activating our relationship with nature and the creative force. In this time of deep injustice on multiple social and ecological fronts, this course explores intersectional equity through the lens of the Imaginal. In times of collapse, how do we fall without falling apart?

*Sliding Scale Tuition: $800-3,000
